Also, I don't know if it is an UEFI or not, but as I remember from the screen share, there was only one boot list (with hardwares) so it should be an old BIOS setup with MBR). I suppose that if I install it in a classical way it will configure the Windows copy with drivers for my machine and take a snapshot from my hardware for the licence. In order to streamline the process for him I thought if it is possible to put the Windows 10 installation to the SSD and send the drive by mail, but I can't find any information on how to do that. I have spare SSDs and USB drives that I can send to him. He is not tech-savvy, and also is busy with work, so I thought I can do something from here. It is a cheap Toshiba laptop, I suppose pre 2015, but I have no actual info on what model, BIOS, etc. He called me to troubleshoot it, and we found that the HDD is not recognized anymore (the CD drive is). Let me explain my situation: A friend who lives in another country has an old laptop. Is it possible to preinstall Windows 10 (just load the installation to be bootable, as on OEM systems) on a disk which will be installed in another computer?
